TIL you can rest a Stroopwafel on top of a mug of coffee or tea to soften it. Why hadn’t anyone told me all these years?

TIL my Tumblog (which reposts my posts from here) turned 17 years old back in March. Tumblr was quite a place in its time. I remember starting The Watercolor Gallery there and it exploding in growth (did you know I’m slowly restoring that website? Go take a look it is getting there).
TIL The Bandcamp iOS app runs fairly OK on macOS.
TIL You can set Finder to auto-size columns. I turned this on immediately. /via DF.
TIL on macOS > System Settings > Desktop & Dock > Widgets > Widget style > Monochrome. I have a few widgets on my desktop and I don’t like that they switch between monochrome and color when the desktop is in focus. This is a nice setting that I wish I had looked for earlier.
TIL that when people said they read a book they sometimes mean they listened to a book. Ok, it wasn’t today that I learned this but I am hearing it a lot more often.
TIL about the iOS Camera app’s QuickTake video feature.
TIL what a digital mending circle is.
What, you ask, is a digital mending circle? A virtual co-working session for the kinds of oft-neglected maintenance tasks that accrue around our digital lives. Instead of darning socks and patching jeans, we update personal websites, delete unused accounts, work on side projects, or even just catch up on email.
Oh I need this.
TIL That in macOS Sequoia you can connect to your iPhone wirelessly to use as a camera for Zoom, etc. Perhaps this was always the case? But I have been plugging it into my Mac this whole time!
TIL The Apple News app has a setting to only show stories from channels I’m subscribed to. I wish I had known this sooner!
