Nothing like a pounding headache to ruin your weekend
My headache began on Thursday. I was able to work through it by popping some pills. Friday came and I spent a good portion of it “on the phone” (I use that term loosely due to the fact that I was using Skype and iChat), which made my headache even worse I think. I use […]

I eat way too fast
Eating is supposed to be enjoyable, yet I rush. No idea why. I think growing up the last of six has something to do with it though.

Is it summer yet?
When we got back from watching King Kong early Wednesday morning (about 4:30am or so), it was -14 degrees fahrenheit. Each day’s temperature has been hovering under 20 degrees. I know my personal log is becoming a “weather blog”, but seriously, is it summer yet?

Our trip to the Outer Banks
Back in March 2002 my parents moved from Pennsylvania to North Carolina. Eliza and I drove down to help them unload the truck and get settled in. After we spent a day or so at my parent’s new place, we headed over to the shore near the Outer Banks to take a look at some […]

I miss the really great snowball fights of my childhood
Today, while waiting for the car to warm up, I played around in the snow a little. Eliza was coming out to get into the car, and I promptly struck her with a well formed snow ball at high velocity. It was great. Sorry babe. As we drove, after the incident, I got to thinking […]

I love Macworld magazine
Thats all, I just love it. They recently won an award over PC Mag (can’t remember the name of the award), but they deserve it. High quality, every time.

Test post from Flock
I’ve downloaded the latest version of Flock, so I thought I’d test out the blogging feature. EDIT: Posting from within Flock is very close to what it should be. Obliviously as a beta, its almost featureless, but from an ease of use and structure stand point, its got tons of potential. I’ll be writing up […]

Picking a favorite movie is probably like picking your favorite child
Sure, I can rattle off my top ten favorite movies without consulting a list, but to get down to just one is really tough. Am I the only one with this difficulty? Or can you name your favorite movie with relative ease?

Sleeping in is bittersweet
There isn’t much that I enjoy more than sleeping in on the weekend, though it has its drawbacks. During this time of the year, it gets dark at around 5pm EST. Today, I woke up at 2, and before I knew it, it was getting dark. Edit: I’m now going to bed at 5am. This […]

OH the weather outside is frightful
But I am so delightful. I’m not really sure why, but I’m in a good mood. Its snowing, cold and my cats left me this to clean up this morning. Yet, I’m in a good mood. Score one for Friday!

Panera Bread fills a very large void
I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It is a choice that comes with many drawbacks, as well as many advantages, much like any other geographical location on the planet. Some of the main advantages include cost of living, diverse and beautiful terrain, seasonal changes, and being relatively close to large cities like Philadelphia and New York […]

The Earth’s weather is truly screwed up
Not only are we seeing the effects of mankind’s ignorance in the form of hurricanes but also in just plain weird weather. A few days ago it was snowing here. Then we had a cold snap that took the temperature down to 9 degrees fahrenheit. Now, its dark out and still holding in the 60s. […]

Watching Star Wars, start to finish
I’ve been wanting to plan a day where I had a few friends over and watch Episode I through Episode VI of Star Wars all in one sitting. I may still do that, but I realize that will be easier said than done, so I started by watching Episode IV while I worked yesterday. Not […]

I’m about half way done with Peter Jackson’s King Kong for the Xbox
No, not the Xbox 360, I won’t get one of those till spring. I’m actually incredibly glad I didn’t get an Xbox 360 out-the-gate. Those of you who paid thousands of dollars on eBay for a machine that will probably freeze on you, I salute you Mr. I have to have everything first even though […]

Random photo posting on Flickr
Here is something fun to do, which I just did. Resort your iPhoto (or digital photo software of choice), by something other than date. Perhaps simply reversing the order would be sufficient for you, for others you might have to play with the sorting a little to get what you want. Then, pick some random […]

My haircut didn’t hurt a bit
I put it off long enough. I needed a haircut. Its done now. I feel better.

My little slice of heaven
My little slice of heaven consists of a 17″ iMac G4 and a 12″ iBook that controls both. Gotta love Synergy. [] Just a random desk shot

NFL overtime rules suck
Update: Many of you are coming here because you are watching a football game right now and you too think that the NFL overtime rules suck. Welcome to my site – I share your pain. The Steelers lost in overtime today. Chris mentioned that the NFL’s overtime rules suck, and I agree – when the […]

I wonder if I can survive without my right eye?
This isn’t to say that I don’t enjoy my eyes, its just that lately my right one has been giving me some trouble. One out of three blinks yields some strange feeling in my right eye-lid which feels like someone is flipping my eye-lid up. There is no pain, so please keep your sympathy cards […]

Some of the best movies I’ve never seen
Chris and I are catching up on some classics. Being born in 1980 makes it pretty tough to have seen some of the classics. Just old enough to know about the movies, just young enough to have not been able to see them until later on in life. There are thousands of movies that I’d […]

Steelers run the ball
Expect to hear that a lot this weekend as Tommy Maddox pretends to be an NFL quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since the Steelers defense is doing pretty well, and their running game is decent, they should manage to pull away with a win. Sports Four has an entry up allowing you to weigh in […]

Morning coffee
I look forward to waking up to morning coffee. Wake up nice and early (typically between 7 – 9am), put on a pot of coffee, open up NetNewsWire and catch up on what’s going on. On ocassion our crew will have a meeting in the morning to plan out the day. It doesn’t happen every […]

I work for a Weblog Network
I never thought I’d say that. In second grade when the teacher came around to me and asked “What do you wanna be when you grow up?” – I can guarantee my answer was not “A CTO from a Weblog Network”. In fact, I can’t even tell you what my answer was when I was […]

I plan on using this blog for something useful, but I just haven’t nailed that down yet
Being that I already run a successful blog, I am not sure what I will use this account for. But I’ve been wanting to have a place for “just me”. And this might become that place. Now if I could just find a way to edit the templates…
Writing helps me think more clearly and to form or transform my opinions. I write about what interests me such as blogging, photography, technology, social media, and my personal creative projects.
