Weigh in: Week two

June 13th, 2006

This week started off great. With the success of my diet last week, I was motivated to continue right through today – and was hoping to post some great results. But, you have to take the good with the bad, and be honest. So, this weekend we had a little set back. Eliza, Chris and I (and a few others on the diet), went away for the weekend. Suffice to say, the diet was not as strictly enforced as it should have been.

This week, I’m unhappy to report that I gained three pounds. I am not back up to 221.8lbs. However, this makes me more determined to stay on my diet, and get more exercise to make up for the set back.

Last week I said that I’d have an announcement for everyone on the diet. Well, that announcement is still a little forth coming. I have one more phone call before anything is completely official, but – let’s just say that we will have more reason to be successful on our diets in the coming weigh ins.

I hope everyone was able to stick to their diet, be successful, and continue on. I know I learned my lesson this weekend – and I know my weaknesses. Let’s see if I can learn from my mistakes.

Note: You too can join .

Ana: Yeah, I am certainly not discouraged. It would have been different if I gained weight after an entire week of doing really well. But I knew the entire weekend that I was off my diet. Can’t wait to lose more this week! Great work for you and your man.

This must have been the weekend of doom. I’ve read that more than a few of us had problems this weekend. Oh well, sets us up for a bigger loss next week.

Set-backs and gains are natural and going to happen.

Continuing forward without dwelling is what makes the difference.

Great job on being honest and we all support you!

I was back up to 220 this week (only gained about .4 officially from last week, but about 2 from last Wednesday) so a lot of us are in the same boat, Colin. Mine can be attributed to cast parties opening weekend of a play Im in… as well as cooking spaghetti and having it the last 2 nights. Oh yeah, and the pizza on Friday.

But the last 2 days for lunch – salad. So let’s all get back on track and stick to it!

Can’t wait to hear about the “more reasons” to be successful! :)

Hey Colin, I feel ya, I had a weekend full of alcohol, fried foods and home cooked tex-mex meals!! I somehow managed to lose 1 whole pound though! lol Must’ve been all the dancing after all the alcohol.

we’ll get our groove back! as long as we don’t give up, we’re all good!

I think it’s a good motive as you said to continue on the diet mission.. it’s like a self-challenge.

I’m too curious about the announcement, and hopefully it’s not what’s in my mind :)

    Good luck in week 3

Whoah! I’m late getting my post up! I attached a .mov of Eric and I hoola hooping to my post to prove I am excercising!

    Congrats to everyone thus far!

Check out the stop motion film of us hooping if you all get a chance!

    Cheers!

Often a gain like this isn’t all fat – quite a lot it can be water and stuff, so a good week this week could translate into an excellent loss next weigh in :-) .
