You’ve likely heard of NaNoWriMo. Ben Brooks wants to take part but in his own way:
I would write a novel, but honestly I have no good ideas for one, and did not have time to plan out a novel before November. I only decided to do this thing a week ago. I could probably come up with an idea, but not one that I would be happy enough with to expend the amount of time needed for 50,000 words.
He’s going to write on his blog instead. I like that idea.
Six years ago I toyed with doing NaNoWriMo by drawing a comic per day (then called NaNoDrawMo as coined by Panic’s Steven Frank) and writing in the story and publishing it as a serial. I didn’t make it. I hope Ben makes it.
