A logger since he was 15, Bernie likes being his own boss. “Better than someone being able to tell you what to do. If I wanted to go home right now I could.”

At the time of this photo, he and his son had been working on this current project for several months. They’ve taken about 30 loads of trees out so far. Bernie thinks they’ll finish up in about another month.
