In this “year of the smartwatch” I’m happy I stumbled across the Timex Datalink. From Wikipedia:
The Datalink line was introduced in 1994 and it was co-developed with Microsoft as a wearable alternative to mainstream PDAs with additional attributes such as water resistance, that PDAs lacked, and easy programmability.
Microsoft would give these watches away when you bought Microsoft Workplace in the mid-90s and all you needed to do was ask them for one.
The Datalink would sync wirelessly with your computer and could hold 150 contacts, have multiple alarms, synchronize calls, and even run small applications such as a golf scorekeeper.
I should find one of these. Or, Microsoft and Timex should team up again.
