No one geotags photos on Instagram

I do. MG Siegler does. But, as he writes, on his personal blog:

Instagram is a service with hundreds of millions of users. And it seems that a large percentage of them are not aware of a key feature of the service.

I frequently get the same question as MG does: “where was this photo taken?” I geotag almost every single photo I take. I love the feature. And when I show other people that same feature they can’t believe it has been right there all along.

I don’t know what it is about the design of Instagram but geotagging photos, and perhaps the Followers Activity feed, Search History, and Photos You’ve Liked features, are completely missed by the vast majority of users.
