Weigh in: Week Twelve

by Colin Devroe on August 22nd, 2006

Twelve weeks! It seems like only yesterday that I began my diet. Actually, I thought for sure that I would end up quitting before reaching any of my goals. I guess I showed myself!

On May 30th I set the goal to be 190 pounds. As of last week I was 194.4 pounds. This week I’m 192.2 pounds. A healthy loss of 2.2 pounds, and edging ever-closer to my original goal.

According to most charts I’ve been able to find, a man of my height (between 6′1″ and 6′2″ depending on how big my hair is) should weigh 188 pounds or less. From that perspective I suppose you could say that I’m four pounds away from being in the “healthy” range, rather than being in the overweight or flirting with the obese category. However, I will most likely need to lose about 10-15 more pounds of fat, and increase my muscle by a few pounds. I’m looking forward to “completing” the journey soon, and then maintaining my goals and my drive towards other goals I’ve set for myself. What goals you ask? Well one you already know about, but I have a few others up my sleeve that I’ll be setting soon.

How did you do this week?

  2. Great job!, You’re getting there… Where is this chart? I want to find out how much I should weigh.

    You’re doing great!

  4. Hey Colin,

I never heard who has been winning the weekly diet prizes – did The Diet Channel fall through?

  5. [...] Last week I was 192.2 pounds, this week I’m 192.0 pounds. Am I discouraged? Not in the least, listen to the week I had. [...]
