I admire the skateboarding community. It is one founded on perseverance. When a skateboarder is pushing themselves to learn new things they know they will fail far more than they will succeed. In fact, failure is expected. It is trying that is applauded. So often this group pictured here would encourage each other after each attempt, successful or not – even though some of them had never met or knew each other’s name. The skateboarding community and mentality should inspire those attempting anything new – the arts, science, business, or personal betterment. It has for me and film. Taken on a Mamiya 645 Pro TL, and on a Canon AE-1, both on Kodak Tri-X 400. Developed and scanned by me at home.
