As I briefly shared on my personal Mastodon account last night (this fediverse thing is going to get confusing, isn’t it), here are a few photos of this year’s garlic. I planted in October 2023.

May 2024
A small table full of garlic scapes.
June 2024 – Picked the scapes
A large ziplock baggy of scapes.
Bagged and frozen

July 2024 – Picked to dry
A box fully of garlic bulbs.
September 2024 – Ready to be stored

I’ll likely plant about 200 cloves in October. And the process starts all over again.

  1. @colin Wow, 200 cloves is a lot of garlic. What are you doing with it? I usually plant 20 – 30 cloves for my family of 4's annual supply.

Sharing garden produce is the best. You can never plant too much!
