Dan Eden lets us know how not to install OS X Yosemite:
The moral of the story; don‘t install 10.10 just yet. And if you do, make sure you‘re not an impatient idiot like me.
I was this close to installing Yosemite this morning. I backed up my work Macbook to a Time Capsule, downloaded Yosemite, and almost partitioned my drive. But then I kept seeing stories over and over about how it is far from ready.
Then I remembered something I wrote last November:
I‘ve decided to hold off on major software updates during the week to any devices or applications that I use for work.
I almost broke my own rule in a big, big way. But I didn’t. And I don’t think I’ll be installing Yosemite, as much as I’d like to, for a few months at least.
