Jim Ray on Twitter #music

Jim Ray reviews Twitter #music:

Tellingly, you can’t get to a musician’s tweets from within the app to decide whether you want to follow them based on the content of their stream, you’re just supposed to follow all of your favorite musicians and be in awe of their celebrity, I guess.

Yesterday I tweeted that while Twitter #music looked nice it was confusing, to me at least, what Twitter wanted you to use it for. The above statement by Ray solidifies it to me. Why would I follow an artist on Twitter if I can’t see their tweets? Just for the purpose of marking them as an artist I like in Twitter #music?

I’ve decided that Twitter #music is very new and I’ll revisit it soon to see if they’ve made any adjustments to make its value and use more clear. It is, however, gorgeous.
