How in the world haven’t I been subscribed to XKCD? Thanks to SuggestRSS (more on this service soon) now I am. The above is one of my favorite recent comics. The subtle details, even in a simple drawing style such as it is, are a really nice touch.

Perfect! Just a few minutes and a whole lotta fun to read. Even the best writer’s cannot always be sure to be read. But who doesn’t take a chance on reading a comic strip?

As for artistic style, this works because it get’s done and out there while still leaving room for the reader to use a little of their own imagination.

Specifically: In the very last panel, the faceless character has nothing more than a backward lean to show us their startled expression…but yet we are easily invited to imagine our (at least my) own facial, Duh? face.

    Loved it!

Oh, and don’t forget to hover your mouse above the comics for extra fun.

Abizer: OMG I didn’t see that!
