This week was an unusual one. Even with recent flooding, we were knocked off our normal exercise routine due to many people going away for the holiday, parks being closed for festivities, and me injuring my hamstring.
My results for this week are not solely based on the amount of exercise for this week, though. I have found myself not keeping track of each calorie, which is essential to being absolutely sure of what you took in for the day.
I can’t tell you how many times, at the end of the day, I find myself trying to figure out what it is that I ate for the day. So, I’m going to make a much more concerted effort to keep track of each calorie, so that my progress remains steady.
This week, I’ve managed to lose one pound. Again, I firmly believe this has more to do with me being a little lax with my caloric counting. However, I’m of the opinion that one pound is much better than none!
So, my starting weight was 225.6, and I now weigh 213.4. Definitely progress, and definitely headed in the right direction.

One pound is one pound! Keep it up!
Congrats Colin, one less pound is progress! You have been such an inspiration to me and this whole “diet” has really kept me motivated (7.4 pounds lost so far).
I agree with you, keeping track of calories is also the most important thing for me. Last night, while cutting brownies for today’s picnic, I ate what amounted to 1/2 a brownie. I actually pulled the brownie mix box from recycling and wrote down the calories (fat, fiber, carbs too) in my journal. I still had enough calories left in my day to have my glass of merlot!
I just wish women could lose weight are quickly as men do. I know it has to do with muscle composition and therefore metabolism, but somehow it just doesn’t seem fair LOL!!
Hey as long as it’s going down and not up right?! 1 pound in a week is still a sign of progress
They say a healthy amount to lose per week is 2 lbs so it’s not that far off!
Congrats
a pound at a time
great job, any loss is good, keep up the great work.
