Minas Tirith made from matchsticks finished.

August 11, 2010

Taking just shy of three years to complete, this amazing representation of Tolkien’s fictional cityMinas Tirith is made completely out of matchsticks. The Great White City, as it is referred to, is made up of almost a half-million matchsticks.

I linked to its progress a little over a year ago and I’m happy that Patrick Acton, the artist and constructor of this great work, was dedicated enough to finish it. It is gorgeous.
