Does anyone else use WordPress, have the Webmentions plugin, syndicate to Micro.blog and have webmentions / comments working properly? Mine have been failing for a few weeks now due to a SSL error that myself, Manton, and the Webmentions plugin creator cannot figure out. Willing to pay for help.
@cdevroe My first thought was how great an altered version of Webmentions could be.
@cdevroe I am seeing strange things with webmentions from micro.blog replies. Sometimes I get my bits of a conversation and not other participants.
My set-up works (self-hosted WP, piping RSS feed to micro.blog/ton, webmentions / comments from microblog end-up nicely on my WP instance.) I probably can’t help, but maybe I can provide you with specifics of my set-up that can help you figure things out? Let me know.
Thanks Ton. I think Manton and I have narrowed it down to my “server” caching Micro.blog’s expired SSL certificate – at some point in the past – and now I have to do some work to clear that out.
I’m taking it as a good opportunity to upgrade PHP and a few other things on my side of things.
@cdevroe Added to my task list… that’ll be a good way to get into the world of tech proposals.
@cdevroe Follow-up: I haven’t had the chance to dig into it yet – but this problem fixed itself. Manton and I think it had to do with my server not expiring an old SSL cert from M.b.
Anyway, thanks to @manton for resending 3 months worth of webmentions to my blog. Example
@cdevroe 👍
