The F402 is my favorite bang-for-buck pen. I’m sure there are better pens for more money, but it’s my favorite.

I stop by Crane & Co. in King of Prussia once in a blue moon (though, when I’m lucky, I might also come across Crane paper at a Barnes and Noble). The Crane thing has been a ritual for years. I don’t write as many letters as I used to, so a couple visits a year to the store is all I need — which probably helps explain why normal stores won’t keep that stuff in inventory.

When you feel like shifting up to a fountain pen, get yourself some nice cotton paper – it will make a world of difference.

I figured you’d stop by on this topic. I picked up a cheap Zebra F-301 pen. It will do for now. My penmanship is horrible. So as that improve so will my tools.

Writing paper has become a niche product, and as with other niche products; they’ve moved onto the web.

From what I remember of Michael’s – they don’t do nice pens either. The two mostly go together.

Do you mean like stationery? Hit up Staples.

Or do you mean notebooks? Ruled? Unruled? College ruled? Filler paper? Writing paper could mean basically anything.

Most of the writing paper I use comes in the form of a sexy Moleskine journal.

You can always write your letter in Pages, use a nice hand-written font and print to good old 24 lb stock

Very True!

The art of writing letters has evolved into 140 character tweets and emails sent via blackberry.

It is very sad when you have to go to a stationary store to actually get writing paper and supplies.
