Welcome to Random 60 season 2! Sorta. Today we have a special guest, Kyle Slattery, who is a friend and fellow Viddler team member. Today’s topic, haircuts.
I just got my haircut and I usually just tell the lady at the hair place to cut as much off as she’d like to. What do you do? How often do you get your haircut? Answer in the comments!
I cut my hair myself. I usually do it every 6 weeks or so, sometimes longer.
Jeff: Do you use a flowbee?
Nope, scissors, two mirrors and a hacksaw.
I need to get my trimmed more often than I do. It’s not as noticeable with long hair.
my = mine*
Every 3 months for myself.
I cut Craig’s every 3-4 weeks.
Every three weeks? I couldn’t imagine being that clean cut all the time!
I never have to worry about Craig going bald, his hair grows so quickly and straight out.
I get my hair cut once every 5-6 months. I just tell them to cut a few inches of the bottom and long-layer the rest
I usually end up going every 6 weeks or so…by that time its SO long I need to make up a new style.
But I’ve worn the same style since I was 17 or so. Maybe its time for something new?
Whenever I get my haircut it is always really long.
Shave it all with a number 1 attachment. New hairstyle? Check. Never loss another hat again? Check. (you know, because head stubble acts like velcro)
4-6 weeks.
I get mine cut every 4 weeks. I’m somewhat particular about my hair, so I’m pretty specific about how I want it done. (I think it’s because my dad doesn’t have any left, so I’m hoping to hang on to mine as long as I can!)
Yeah it’s usually several months between my cuts. It goes through several familiar phases, and then gets to “unmanageable” before I actually do anything about it.
I don’t think I go “months” but I go through the same phases!
Best case scenario, I can go about five weeks before all hell breaks loose, but it’s usually more like four. It’ll be fine and perfectly manageable one day, and then the next day it just won’t obey. At that point, I *should* get it cut, but it usually takes me another two or three weeks before I get around to it.
Also, I should add that I’ve cut mine in the past, with good results. I had a series of three horrifically bad haircuts in 2006, so for a while I’d cut it myself. It takes forever and I made a huge mess each time, but they turned out well. You just have to be super patient and take off a little bit at a time.
I wish I did this.
Oh, and also also, I moved since my last haircut, and I’m dreading finding a new place that’s never cut my hair before. It’s such a crapshoot.
I make appointments every 6 or 7 weeks. And my hair grows fast so she usually takes a lot off the back and sides (only a little of the top).
Every year or two I decide that shaving my head is fun so I’ll grab the clippers and go to town. It’s quite nice to have no hair.
Photos!
Well depends on my mood. Long? Short? Crazy? In May I cut my hair (appointment of course, I wouldn’t dare take scissors to my head) really short. Then it’s grown to about my shoulders since then. And on Sunday, I just got all my layers cut out, and because I haven’t had it long for like 4 years. So now I’m growing it all out at the same length. But this is probably likely to change..I change my mind about my hair quite often.
Now if Dad would just let me dye it…
Once a year. They charge $50 for a haircut(even a trim) plus $20 just to dry it down here…nuts, esp. Since I am trained in this field! If I really get the urge I will cut it myself..but not regularly.
Once a year! Maybe that is why they charge so much!
