Random 60: Calendars

Random 60: Calendars | Favorite on Viddler.

I don’t know about you but I love calendars. If I didn’t self-impose a limit of two my wall would be filled with calendars of all types. Right now I have a stunning Hawai’i calendar hanging up (thanks to Eliza). It has photos from different islands that make up Hawai’i. And I also have a National Parks calendar that is a yearly gift from my brother-in-law from South Dakota, John. This calendar is big, has amazing photographs from many of the National Parks in North America, and is extremely well designed.

Do you have any calendars? If so, share them in the comments. Oh – and if you’re going to post a photo of your calendar just paste the link to the calendar and I will fix your comment to include a photograph. The penmanship episode really turned out terrific with photos so thanks to all those that participated over there.

The only calendar I use is iCal. Calendars are cool, though.

  2. I’m not a big fan of physical calendars, mostly because I always forget to change them. I use Google Calendar when I really need to remember something, because I can have it SMS me reminders, which is really awesome.

  3. Calendars are for people who have the time to write in them. I don’t have the time, therefore I am “fashionably late” to everything.

  4. Eric Brophy says:

I use the calendar in my cell phone, the windows calendar in the system tray, and the Watchtower calendar.

  5. Eliza Devroe says:

I use ical, and regular calendars. And I have a pocket calendar in my purse. I am always prepared! :)

I’ve never really used physical calendars until getting together with my fiance. She generally has 2 calendars.

One that her sister creates every year with photos of family and one for personal use that she keeps in a location convenient for her. The latter is usually adorned with images of white sand beaches.

I love the idea of google calendar or iCal using random images from flickr. This needs to be a project in the google labs!
