The recent floods has really given me a better grasp at how much damage heavy, steady rains can do. Seeing floods on television really does not give you a clear picture of the devastation they cause. I’m hoping to draw some comparisons between heavy rains, winter run-off, and the floods seen in the Summer of 2006.

Flood waters are beginning to recede, people are being allowed back to their homes, and hopefully things will get back to normal soon for everyone.

Over five days of rain has poured down on our area, and this has led to flooding.
