In today’s random 60 I ask where you find your inspiration but after viewing the video I realize what I really meant was how do you get motivated? After you’ve been working for a while on a particular thing and you notice your productivity drop, how do you get motivated to continue?

I used to get up and go for a job. I need to start doing this again.

What do you do?

Troy Rutter blogs about his most recent oil painting.

Troy Rutter, actor, blogger, author, and podcaster (busy man), was inspired by my most-recently blogged about watercolor, The Owl (which is for sale on my Etsy shop, btw) and posted this oil painting.

One of the great things about the Web is that inspiration can spread in ways it never has been able to in human history. Whether you blog, Twitter, or use any of the social services now available – remember that anything you do or say could inspire someone else to do something (and in my cases in an even greater way than you could have yourself).

Thanks Troy, you’ve inspired me to someday take up oil painting so that I too can live-out my childhood memories of watching Bob Ross “just beat the devil out of it”.

Edging ever closer to my original goal.

Eleven weeks and still going strong. Although I missed one day worth of exercise, which was replaced with eating, drinking, and being merry – I still did fairly well.

Last week, I weighed in at 197.2 pounds. This week I’m 194.4 pounds for a loss of 2.8 pounds, and I’m really happy with this result.

Remember, my original goal was 190 pounds. As I got closer to that, I realized that I needed to readjust that end-result goal. My new end-result goal is 180 pounds. Once I get there, I’ll see if some readjustment will need to be done yet again.

Being on a diet, for any length of time, can be a challenge. Being on a diet for eleven weeks is, in my mind, a feat. One of the main things that has kept me going is all the inspiration I’ve been getting from the challenges that others have faced, and yet have overcome those challenges, pressed forward, and have been successful in their efforts.

Thanks to everyone that helped me get through another week.

Do you need to lose weight? You should join the diet and help yourself and others shed the extra pounds.
