We’re repurposing our wine rack into our new TV stand for the new apartment. By we, of course, I mean Eliza is doing all of the work and I’m taking photos of her and posting them on the Internet without her express permission.

Need a few things for the new crib.

Try saying that five times fast. Green Bell Pepper preview… Gree… Nevermind. Someday very soon I’ll be posting an update about our garden – for now, here is a preview of how well our bell peppers are doing.

Also of note: Chili peppers are, as the rumor was, very hot.

Not sure what Susan did or why she has a black eye but these are cool flowers nonetheless.

Though our garden is getting over watered, there is life. Zucchini flowers, lettuce, strawberries, and green beans are starting to take off.

While waiting for a ride this weekend I walked over to a small patch of wild flowers growing behind our garbage cans (there is beauty everywhere in this world, isn’t there?). I was attempting to get a half-decent shot of this bumble bee that was bouncing from flower to flower, sucking up the nectar while at the same time pollinating the entire patch by himself.

I suppose I managed to get a half-decent shot of him, but I really appreciate the details in the flower itself – the fact that it is just beginning to dry up on its edges, that its a color that I can not identify (I call it a pinkish purple), and that it grows behind garbage cans.

It turned out really great and makes our living room much more cozy than it was a few days ago. Our entire apartment is now really beginning to become my new favorite place that I’ve lived. Now, if we could just transport our current apartment and rent price to the North Shore on Oahu, Hawai’i we’d be all set.

When I left for work the morning of this photo, it had been raining as if in a hurricane. I drove to New Jersey, somehow getting ahead of the storm. Thirty minutes after arriving it began to rain a torrent. Once the storm had past I drove back to Pennsylvania and, just prior to getting home, I was greeted with this scene.

The iPhone does not do this sun-scape justice. But it doesn’t have to, I’ll remember it all the same.
