A 63-year old woman learns a lesson that many learn by feeding a stray cat; never feed a wild animal.

Wild Pig, Florida – ricksege

Finally some real news! A 63-year old woman learns a lesson that many learn by feeding a stray cat; never feed a wild animal. However, Caroline Hayes didn’t feed a helpless stray cat that became a nuisance thereafter.  She fed a 176 pound wild pig.

Neighbors, who have observed the pig taking a mattress out of Caroline’s garage and ripping it to shreds, have named the pig Bruce. Cute. Rangers, who came to transport the pig, brought too small of a cage. Well played. And Ms. Hayes is trapped in her home because, well, a huge hungry pig can be pretty aggressive.

The current plan is to trap the pig and send it to a piggery for butchering. As irony would have it, Ms. Hayes is a vegetarian, so she will not be getting any sort of sweet revenge on Bruce.

You may send the bacon thisaway plz.

The lesson? Never feed a wild animal that is larger than you are unless you intend to eat it.

Just a few nights ago I was watching a History Channel show dedicated to the pursuit of Bigfoot.  Today I find something that I find completely fascinating; someone stabilized the infamous Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film.

Something that just has to be noted is that this is post 1138 to my blog. That is all.

A fun site to swapped children's heads with their Father's.

I couldn’t think of a much better title for this link, so I used the title from the actual ManBabies.com web site. Â ManBabies.com, essentially, is a collection of altered images with men holding babies but having their heads swapped.

While the purpose of this site originally was to showcase Dads with their children, and having their heads swapped, it seems to have grown outside of those boundaries pretty quickly because I find it hard to believe that all of these photos are actual father / child.

My favorites so far? There is this guy being thrown into the air and the bodybuilder – as two examples.

A hobby of doodling on money.

This is great. Â Joe D!, as he is known on Flickr, decided it’d be neat to deface, I mean – artistically improve U.S. paper currency by adding some doodles. Â He managed to create an entire Flickr photo set dedicated to this hobby. Â Here are a few samples:

Some of my favorites (pictured) are the Spartan, Gene Simmons of KISS, and a Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtle.

So far Joe D! has published 75 peices of his art work, which have received a total over over 500,000 views. Â He is as surprised as anyone about the attention they are getting.

“wow, i’m surprised how much everyone likes this. it’s just something i’ve been toying around with every now and then, it all started when i would draw glasses or beards on money with the counterfeit pen on the registers at work and just grew in to a hobby.”

I wonder if he takes requests?  A Mr. T version of Lincoln might be a good place to start.

A “Sea Pig”.

Who hasn’t always wanted to be a marine biologist? Earth’s oceans, seas, lakes, and rivers are by far the largest untapped and ill-explored territory – which is what makes discoveries like the ones mention by this National Geographic article possible.

“This sea cucumber—held by Sadie Mills of New Zealand’s National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research—is known as a sea pig.” … “Sea cucumbers are part of a group of marine animals that inhabit the seafloor, including sea squirts, sea stars (starfish), sea slugs, corals, clams, sponges, and urchins.”

The team from NIWA of NZ (no idea if that is the correct acronym) collected around “30,000 animals, during a marine census of southern Antarctica in early 2008″, many of them considered brand new undiscovered species.
