Example, I'd been using tumblr for several weeks before I took the time to enable commenting. Not having any real coding background, I think it's more a result of lack of effort to figure it out than anything. I'm still quite impressed with tumblr and am quite interested to see where it will be in the next couple years. Tumblr has control over the Dashboard portion and I think it needs to make it much easier to find the permalink. Although, now that I’ve found it I doubt it will frustrate me a much.
