Here's a trick... Buy the fanciest gear that you can afford, Heck buy stuff  you *can't* afford on credit, then all the photos you ever make will rock!  (ah, just kidding)

Seriously, this is not bad at all... I like the leading lines of the railing ...it helps give prospective as well.  When doing multiple takes to stitch together... Just make sure the settings are the same.  Put the camera on Manual...meter it, then use the same exposure as you pan across.

Keep photographing and keep posting.
