One of the things that I&#039;ve seen recently is that you can do two things to ward off the potential for downtime.  Setup multiple OpenID providers, and even set yourself up as one.

I&#039;d need to do some digging to find out how to actually do that though.</description>

Personally I don&#039;t like OpenID for similar reasons--what about if my OpenID provider goes down?  I don&#039;t get to use my sites because I can&#039;t login?</description>
