Doing the Panera Bread thing again

I’ve written about Panera before. How it, and other cafes with free wifi, provide a good solid atmosphere for clearing your head all while getting some work done.

Mike and Colin at Panera

Mike thinks I smell, so he is over there.

Atmosphere definitely lends itself to attitude - so if you find yourself slugging behind a little - get out of the office. Or come on down to Panera and say “Hi” to Mike and I. I’d recommend asking your boss first though. That is why I asked Eliza. ;) Now, to get a little somethin’ done.

Dude, I love Panera, but they’re way to popular at most of the around here. You’ll have on average maybe 10 to 20 people all online on their laptops. I’m pretty sure they’re just paying for a standard DSL line with a couple (i hope more than 1) wireless routers. Which means, with that many people all trying to get connected, there’s going to be a lack of bandwidth.

So you have to go at odd hours or really early in the morning, but after all the morning bagel and coffee people leave

this is getting long so i guess i better start my own blog post

Haha. Daniel: Yeah, the bandwidth isn’t the best. Around here (not a very tech-savvy area), there are a few laptops in there at a time, but mostly going there during lunch just means that you get crappy tables.
