I have to agree. The media files issue, which is real even with current disk sizes, can easily be solve by removing all one’s music (mine is 42GB) to an external drive reachable via an Airport Extreme base station. This makes switching to oher Macs easier too.

Haha, my one year MacBook anniversary is tomorrow. Mine is White, 2 GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, and has a 100GB Hard Drive. I've been lucky to not have any major issues. I only experienced one random shut down before Apple put out a patch, so far no discoloring, and everything works (although my MacBook doesn't always like to sleep, but that's minor).

I agree with you, I wouldn't trade mine in for the world (well, maybe for a free upgrade to a Core 2 Duo). It performs well for my needs, is very portable, and just looks freaking sweet. You wouldn't believe how many people have commented on the sleekness of my MacBook. Definitely an excellent purchase in my book.

I have to agree with you on all points. It's been about 11 months since I got mine, and I'm still in love with it. I was a hardcore PowerBook guy back in the day, and I said I never wanted an iBook. They just didn't meet my needs. They were too bulky, not powerful enough, and too white. The MacBook fixes all of those issues. The size is perfect., it's beautiful, it's powerful, I could put a bigger hard drive in if I wanted, and 2 GB of ram is plenty to meet my needs for now.

They've released some nice updates to the line, but I still haven't seen anything that made me really wish I had waited.
