Alex: My reference to the war being over is purely based on the fact that the tide is indeed turning towards Apple rather than them needing to fight for it.

Microsoft Windows will have the lion’s share of the market for a very, very long time to come. But mainly it will not be by the choice of companies and consumers - it will be more of a “locked in” type of thing.

I disagree, the tide is just starting to turn, but the war is by no means over.

I can’t deny that Apple have had an amazing year, with stock value going up 8% after the release of the iPhone, and 50% of people this year being ’switchers’. They’ve never had it better, but when it comes to computers they do still have a long way to go.

I have been in the world of commercial printing since 1980, and for me mac’s were a Godsend, I did design work on one from 1989-1992 and it was the greatest. I would certainly trade my desktops for the new generation of products, just need to educate this obnoxious consumer as to why I should…….Liam

I agree: the main reason why people don’t switch is misinformation.

I hope we hear more news this year about Mac stuff from Apple.
