Also known as; The Breakfast of Champions.
Last night Eliza and I stopped at Dunkin Donuts on the way home and I decided to buy one donut for each day for the rest of the week. This way, when I woke up each morning I could enjoy coffee and a donut.
My coffee and donut
So, today was day one of three, and boy was it good.
April 20th, 2006 Day Two: Donuts still tasty as ever!
April 21st, 2006 Day Three: Chris was right. The donut today was definitely stale, though I ate it. It was definitely edible, and enjoyable, but not nearly as good as the first day. So, from now on its fresh donuts only. Lesson = learned.

So is it the same donut each day or did you kick it up with some variety?
Dennis: I’m not a very exciting man. It’s not something I’m terribly proud of, but it is the truth. I bought the same donuts, this time. Perhaps the next time I go on a donut adventure like this, I will ask the nice lady behind the counter to choose at will!
That is kind of ho hum….I go for the chocolate long johns myself and a $5 cup of starbucks coffee. mmmmmmm
Breakfast? What’s that?
Don’t donuts go stale really fast? People have offered me day old donuts on occasion and they’re really bad. I think the sugar ferments or something.
Chris: I will definitely let you know.
Chris: Depends how they’re stored. If they’re left out in the open I would guess they get stale. Otherwise, I’m not sure.
I’m rather picky when it comes to donuts. Here in the city, barely anyone actually makes them on premises, so by the time you buy them they’re not even as good as they could or should be. Yet, while visiting family back in New England, the shops that we go to there are big enough to make them on site and there’s a great difference in quality and freshness.
The way I look at it, if I’m going to be bad…I want it to be good! At least the coffee is a bit more consistent.

[...] Update 2: – I went back to my old theme. See, I’m not a designer. Never claimed to be, never want to be one. Ok, I’m lying, I’d love to be a designer – but I’ve come to terms with my inner-suckiness and realized that I will most likely never be a designer. So, I’ll stick with what I know, donuts. And I’ll ask a few friends (of which I’m blessed with many), to help me design this baby to my liking. [...]
