I love and agree with all of your picks (and actually feel the same way about Brightkite - why do I not count that as my Twitter app?), and many of my favorite posts of 2008 came from the blogs mentioned on this list. And while I also try all of the new iPhone Twitter apps (lately it's Tweetsville), I always come back to Hahlo. It just can't be matched.

One caveat - I'd pick Adium over iChat. That duck is my one-stop multi-chat client.

Dean Robinson: I've actually given most of the iPhone applications, and web applications, a fair trial. I don't pick Hahlo simply because I've become most comfortable with it. I picked it because it is indeed the best. Thanks for all of your hard work developing it and keeping it up and running so well.

Thanks for mentioning Hahlo, nice to know that its still some peoples weapon of choice despite the fact that the "iphone twitter" market has been somewhat flooded with so many native apps in recent times.

Chris Messina: I was hot for FriendFeed early on. I still like a few things they are doing. But I'm just not sure where they fit yet, as I don't "use" the service very often. Also, Brightkite is probably my most-used site this year for updating Twitter. And yet, it didn't make the list either.

Hmmm.

Yeah, I'd second those. ;)

But I think FriendFeed deserves a mention for something.

Good list. I'll agree with almost all of them. Didn't get to try either of the iPhone apps, I'll get right on both.

Good list. I'll tell you what's ridiculous though: The fact that Apple does not have a full-size wireless keyboard. I would have bought it long ago. I finally broke down and got a regular Apple wired keyboard this year. It's a fantastic keyboard, and I'm glad they finally got that keyboard onto the MacBook Pro.

Also Coda = Like a party on my screen and everybody's invited.
