I am a new brightkite user on iPhone…and after using it…i wonder why I am? I think if this program was more integrated say like a Pingle or Pixelpipe (if that would have worked for me) it would be great. I would love a tweetdeck or seesmic app for iphone that does all of this. Expanded twitteriffic?

The ONLY reason I like Brightkite is to keep track of the places I’ve been and the things I said, or photos I shared, from those locations. If Twitter had a geo-layer I’d be much less likely to use Brightkite.

Again, I have a lot to say on this subject once I have been off of Brightkite for a while and have a good idea of why I miss it.

I’m considering dropping Brightkite as well, at least while I’m in Germany. It’s too expensive for me to update my location from my German cell phone, so the location based feature is pretty useless. I’ve been trying out a lot of Twitter apps recently, and it really bugs me to not be able to post right from there to Brightkite, especially since I don’t ever really check Brightkite any more.

I have been using Twitter more than Brightkite these days. I still like the check-in feature and will continue to use that, but I agree with you on posting to BK and then checking Twitter. It is a pain.
