The WordPress Help Center

April 15th, 2009

From the “why hasn’t someone done something like this until now” category comes Crowd Favorite’s latest venture; The WordPress HelpCenter. Alex King, who has been hacking on WordPress even longer than I have, has more details about the launch of this service. Great idea, I hope it works out well for them.

I agree. This is a great idea. Though I’ve always gotten by on the kindness of strangers (mostly via the help forums), I can understand the intimidation factor some folks feel when dealing with tech-heavy forums — I’ve felt it myself, though I’m generally more overcome by thrift than intimidation ;)

Add to that the number of people and companies using WordPress more professionally, and I think the business model has real potential.
