Tweetie for Mac – a new Twitter client

April 20th, 2009

Yes, another Twitter client (I’m cdevroe by the way). However, this one comes from atebits – the company that brought us the highest ranked Twitter client for the iPhone, also named Tweetie.

Tweetie for Mac, which I’ve been using all morning, allows for multiple accounts, posting from the browser, auto URL shortening, and much more. Although it feels like 1.0 it is certainly a well polished 1.0. Looking forward to watching this application mature.

Sleek and minimalist: with some pretty excellent features. Really digging this twitter client.

Agreed. I think some of the actions should be slightly more apparent, but I expect the usability of the app to be improved over time. Oh, and it could be a little smaller (the size of the app in general).

  • I’m having a tough time using anything but TweetDeck. I love the multi-column view of TweetDeck, and the only thing it’s missing is multiple logins.

Tweetie for the iPhone is amazing (I finally gave in and purchased it last week), but the Mac desktop version needs to have the option of using the larger screen real estate a computer gives us.

I think all these recent desktop Twitter apps (Nambu, Seesmic Desktop, Tweetie) are going to be blown away in a future update of TweetDeck.
