I remember one of my favorite activities while in the fourth grade was playing Oregon Trail – on a Macintosh – whenever possible. It forced you to make choices, to read, to do math, to learn a little about geography and the limits of what humans can be asked to do. Oregon Trail, for many people my age, is one of the classic games we’ll never forget.
Well, now you can play Oregon Trail online, for free – right in your browser.

I have such good memories of Oregon Trail. I played it all the time whenever it was our classroom’s turn to get the three or four computers that were circulated around the school. I can’t remember if those were Macs or PCs, but I remember that, between Oregon Trail and this Garfield comic-strip creator program, I was hooked.
i realy like this game
how are you suposed to play the game on this site without having to plug up stuff
“Plug up stuff”?
what are you supposed to do when it tells you to flip the disk over or insert disk 2 or whatever?
Jenni: I’ll be honest – I’ve never played it online so I don’t know.
there are controls on the bottom of the screen if you hit insert disk 2 that somehow does the trick
this is one of my favorite games of all times and i am hoping to find it so my children can learn to play it
if you hit insert disk 2 on the controls on the bottom that somehow does the trick
this still isnt working for me!!! I really want to play but it keeps giving me and error!!
Its doesnt contain a virus or anything right?
ITS GOOD , IT JUST WONT SAVE SO WHEN YOU QUIT YOU HAVE TO START OVER.
