We're really thinking of getting a decent savings and taking off a month or so and visiting. It looks so amazing and beautiful. Cameras rarely do justice to what our eyes really see. I can't recommend the South Island of NZ highly enough. Get a good camera, learn how to use it, and keep it with you at all times. It's better than LOTR makes it look, seriously.
