A 70-minute video review of The Phantom Menace

This is the best thing I’ve ever seen. Watch it.

PS. There is a lot of backstory that goes along with this link. An example of which is that Damon Lindelof, the major creative driving force behind LOST and the recent Star Trek film, watched this and said: “Your life is about to change. This is astounding film making. Watch ALL of it.” That is why I’ve decided to leave my link to this video as simple as possible and just say watch it.

I watched this on Saturday and agree, it was one of the best reviews I’ve seen to date. It looks like the guy is rambling on but he makes some awesome points.

This video is amazing. Chris makes a good point about how, though it appears he is rambling, the reviewer makes awesome points. I actually think that it’s because of the way he delivers the review that it is so effective. His delivery is, I think, meant to imply that any idiot who spent a few minutes thinking about TPM could come to these same conclusions (although maybe not as perfectly as he does). And I think what we gain from that is…

Oh, man: I’m reviewing a review. I need to stop before I get any more meta than I already am.
