“Lost 1lb. in one week” – Good advice from Made Fit TV

July 27th, 2009

This can not be stressed enough. Slow, consistent weight loss is much more healthy, much easier to maintain, and a more realistic goal than all of the get-thin-quick diets you see advertised at 2am on TV.

Made Fit TV‘s Jennifer DiDonato is an expert in the field of fitness. She recently a no-brainer video and blog post about losing a single pound in a week, rather than promising to lose 10 pounds or something ridiculous. I love seeing level-headed people that are willing to give out some of the best advice you will ever see, for free.

This is absolutely correct – 1 or 2 pounds a week on average is better for you and allows you to create good habits and changes in your lifestyle – adding exercise, eating more healthy, getting enough sleep, having less stress, etc.

Thanks for pointing out the simplicity of it! I know, for some people there are other health complications that can add to the difficulties of losing weight. But for the average person battling those extra pounds, cutting out a few calories per day that you may not even miss can make a big difference! Thanks for being such an awesome advocate for MadeFitTV.com : ) XO

You’re welcome Jennifer. It is true that some people have complications that can get in the way – but more often than not they can just be categorized as excuses!
