You could try adding in an exercise goal, like ride a bike 30 miles a week, or run a 5k race. Exercise goals are so much more better at reducing weight. Reduce your calories and increase activity level.
Bring your exercise cam with you.

Summer has always been murder on my waist. You're right; nothing gets noticed until it's measured.

I hear ya, broseph. When I weighed in at the gym this morning I was closer to 240 than I was to 230. I want to officially weigh in tonight, but I know I'm in the realm of 230, which is completely unacceptable. The hardcoreness is about to begin and being hard and core. I will post an official weigh-in and update tonight. I too am going on vacation and need to lose some pounds before I'm allowed on a beach.

Yeah, I'm getting back on it too. I'm weighing myself daily. I was 217 on August 6, which was just totally unacceptable. I'm 206 now, and already looking and feeling a lot better. My goal is to get down to 192 (25 pounds) and then 187. 192, coincidentally is also the lowest I've ever been. I honestly don't think it'll be that hard. I've been really hardcore for the last few weeks, and I've seen good results. 187 will be harder, but it will be infinitely more rewarding. I think I can do it by November if I really stick with it.
