Wow, that really is an amazing photo. The photographer must have been really happy with that. I did see a documentary all about snow leopards and how shy they are. The camera man had to sit around for weeks to be able to get footage of them.

Eliza and I picked it up at a “junk store” one day last summer when we went to pick blueberries but the farm had been picked out! It had been in our living room for a while but now I’ve moved it in here. I like it too.

That’s good to know. I need to get back on FriendFeed and make more from it.

Flickr’s lack of an iPhone designed website is quite frustrating, when I’m on the go and want to show someone a picture quickly that I know is on Flickr but not on my phone, it’s tedious. Hopefully that will improve with either an app or site in the future.

This reminds me of the day when you invited me to viddler. I first posted some videos but stayed on youtube because I didn’t want to loose my large audience…
But finally, I decided to switch to viddler and just keep my music videos on youtube because ultimately, it’s the quality and the features of viddler or vimeo that attracts me more and the people interested in me just followed me…
Of course it’s a little bit different with twitter and I never tried pownce because I’m a little slow on changing my habits and I’m not into multiple accounts in all the social services. What would take me out of twitter would really not be the fact that everybody leaves it, but more that I don’t like the service anymore. This is how I went from myspace to facebook. I still use myspace for music promotion, but my real communication is in facebook

Chris Clark: No, I haven’t had the chance to compare it to another launch day iPhone. The iPhone on the left is a launch day iPhone, which is my wife’s. I have a few friends that have iPhones from both the launch-day, and times since (even up to just a few months ago). I plan on comparing mine against all of them.

As to what makes the speaker so much better on my iPhone than Eliza’s, I have no idea.

I just do not get Spaces… I guess I don’t get distracted by open apps of different types being open on one “Space”. If I am doing a conversion of… lets say a DVD I just let run in the background. If I need to see it I just hit “Command-Tab” to switch to that program. Simple. I do not see it saving me any keystrokes/mouse clicks.

I guess this just proves that everyone’s mind works a little differently and thanks to Apple to allow us to set up our “Spaces” as we see fit.

One point about “complaining”. I think if you read my post again I wasn’t complaining but commenting on the facts. I’m not much of a complainer. Someday you and I will meet up and I think you’ll see that. I’ve always appreciated your use of Viddler, so thanks for that also.

Shot in the dark here. Spotlight is just an app in the core services folder in the system folder. What if you just copied the spotlight.app from tiger and put it in Leopard. I have no idea if this would work but i guess that if it doesn’t all you have to do is restore the leopard spotlight back to the folder. I’ll try this and reply with what happens.

Dude, I feel your pain. We at Podcast Spot have been doing device-specific audio and video conversion for TWO YEARS but most people don’t know that (upload a WMV and we’ll encode it for the Xbox, iPod, etc). We’re small and without a lot of money for marketing, we’re in Canada, and we have the word “Podcast” in our name. It’s harsh.

I also like what you say about sustainability. Building something you’re proud of and something that people want is what it’s all about. Go Viddler!

When you attach large files to a message in the Leopard version of Mail, it shows the total message size in the lower left hand corner of the message.

Oh, and I agree that the change to the “Show All” Spotlight window is a downgrade.

I am glad to find people who understand what I am talking about with Spotlight in Leopard and the Show All feature. It seems incredibly rediculous that Apple would omit the feature of sorting that was in Tiger. I love Spotlight but hate the interface in Show All. Please let me know if you have contacted Apple with this complaint, how to do it, or if you found a 3rd party software solution to this - thanks!
